Beth Dean Earns PHR

Payroll and HR Specialist Beth Dean recently passed the Human Resource Certification Institute's (HRCI) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) exam. HRCI is the credentialing body for human resource professionals and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This certification demonstrates that Beth has mastered the human resource body of knowledge.

In addition to her payroll and HR duties, Beth is responsible for writing Nextep’s HR and Safety Newsletters. Beth also holds the Fundamentals of Payroll Certification (FPC), and she is an active member of APA, SHRM, SHRS (Sooner Human Resources Society), Oklahoma City Society for HR and the Oklahoma City Metro Employer Council.

Melissa Grimes Earns SPHR

Director of Operations Melissa Grimes recently joined the ranks of roughly only 35,000 Human Resource professionals nationwide to attain the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). This certification, awarded to those who pass the rigorous exam administered by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), demonstrates that Melissa possesses tremendous expertise of the strategic and/or policy levels of Human Resource administration.

Melissa oversees the Payroll and HR departments of Nextep, both of which are now 100% certified! She is an active member of Society for Human Resources, the Oklahoma City and Sooner Chapters of APA and OK Ethics Consortium.

Joanna Lilley Earns Insurance Certification

Sales and Marketing Liaison Joanna Lilley earned the Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Agent Certification. This certification is the Oklahoma Insurance Department’s (OID) certificate of achievement, which recognizes those who have mastered the Life, Accident, and Health Insurance body of knowledge for the state of Oklahoma.

Joanna holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma. She is responsible for coordinating all new client enrollments and working with multiple insurance carriers to best meet client needs. Her new certification will benefit Nextep’s clients by offering credentialed insurance expertise when choosing the plans and carriers that benefit their employees.

Jennifer Morris Earns PHR

HR Specialist Jennifer Morris recently passed the Human Resource Certification Institute's (HRCI) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) exam. HRCI is the credentialing body for human resource professionals and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This certification demonstrates that Jennifer has mastered the human resource body of knowledge.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is an active member of the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society, Sooner Chapter of SHRM and the Oklahoma City Metro Employers’ Council, and she serves on Nextep’s Wellness Committee.
