Nextep's 2020 Annual Report

Thank you for another great year!

Nextep elevated and enriched the employment experience in more ways than ever this year. From our technology enhancements and embracing legislation change to adapting as a company, 2020 is a year we won’t soon forget.

No matter where our people are working on any given day, we continue to prioritize the same exceptional service and seamless technology you’ve come to expect. It’s been a year of tremendous change for everyone. In some ways, those changes have been burdens. But in other ways, they’ve uncovered strengths we didn’t know we had. We want to take a look back at our year with you.

Supporting your people

Working to elevate your employment experience is one of Nextep’s guiding principles, and we don’t take it lightly. Our COVID-19 resources page has been a hub for all of the latest news. Nextep’s HR business partners have answered many questions about best practices for COVID-19-related matters, employee exposure, and testing, as well as remote work policies.

Our payroll specialists put together complex reporting for PPP loan applications and made sure you could run payroll around COVID-19 related paid time off.

We also took it up a notch to help our clients and their employees access relevant benefit resources during the pandemic. With updates on insurance plans covering COVID-19 testing, telehealth education, as well as mental health and wellness resources, we continue to keep you supplied with helpful information.

HR Where You Are

At Nextep, we take pride in offering new technology to make life easier at no additional cost. This year, our online platform underwent a complete makeover to make managing employees and personal info easier than ever. And because you deserve a mobile experience that is just as powerful as your desktop, we redesigned the Nextep mobile app. Review your most recent W-2, check your paystubs, view insurance cards, and do anything else you would normally do at your desk on any device.

With one tap management, admins are now able to toggle between company info and their own without logging into another account. You won’t find technology like this from any other PEO! We look forward to hearing your feedback and offering even more in the years to come.

Nextep Gives Back

The Nextep Charitable Foundation started its third year strong. While our mission remains the same, our initiatives and the organizations we support are ever-changing. In 2020, it became clear to our leaders that Nextep could be doing more to support the Black community. This year, we committed to donating $50,000 and matching all employee donations to nonprofit organizations supporting the Black community in Oklahoma.

We made $10,000 donations to five different local organizations: Grand Gentlemen, Knowing Your Worth, Progress OKC, TEEM, and Urban League of OKC.. These organizations are making big impacts in the local community and do everything from provide college scholarships, mentor young adults, create affordable housing, and help individuals who have been incarcerated reenter society.

We look forward to serving you in 2021 and the years to come. You can view Nextep’s full 2020 annual report online. Thank you for another successful year!
