Nextep Donates to Neighborhood Services Organization

The Nextep Charitable Foundation is excited to donate $10,000 to the Neighborhood Services Organization (NSO). Through various outreach programs, NSO provides housing support and essential medical services to those in need throughout Oklahoma City.

NSO is a nonprofit organization based in Oklahoma City with the mission of “transforming lives and encouraging independence through safe, healthy homes, dental care, and nutrition,” working throughout the OKC community to improve the lives of those in need:

“Neighborhood Services Organization is a 100-year-old nonprofit serving the at-risk and homeless of the Oklahoma City community. Our programs provide housing solutions and teach skills to transform lives. Last year, we touched the lives of over 100,000 individuals.” – NSO

Their outreach initiatives help provide supportive transitional housing to families in need, single women, and young men to empower them to become self-sufficient and move into permanent housing. NSO also offers dental services and a WIC clinic that provides nutrition info, supplemental foods, and assistance to mothers with infant children, serving 5,000 people every month.

Over the decades, NSO has created a variety of programs to help low-income and homeless residents in Oklahoma City. Several of the programs NSO started have grown into separate and successful nonprofit organizations, including Detox Center, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, Mobile Meals, and Positive Tomorrows.

You can support the Neighborhood Services Organization through monetary donations or in-kind gifts to help make home a reality for Oklahomans in need!
