After years of donating our time and money, we founded the Nextep Charitable Foundation in 2018 to give our employees an even stronger platform to give back. Through the foundation, we donate money to organizations doing amazing work in our community and offer free services to nonprofits. Our employees participate by donating their time, both company and personal hours.
Each year, we set goals for the impact we want to make. In our second year of having the Nextep Charitable Foundation, we blew our philanthropic goals out of the water. We set out to donate $100,000, serve more than 1,500 volunteer hours, and provide more free services to nonprofits in 2019. With the help of our dedicated employees, we were able to meet those goals and more.
Though we’ve made giving a priority for more than a decade, 2019 was also a year of “firsts” for our foundation. In 2019, we started company-wide days of giving, worked with Make-A-Wish to send two kids to Disney World, and spoke about our corporate philanthropy initiatives at Dreamforce.
Our work through the foundation has not only impacted our community, it’s made a difference in the lives of our people. Each year we see our people giving more of their time, becoming more involved in the community, and talking to more people about their philanthropic interests.
