  • What is a PEO?

    PEO stands for Professional Employer Organization. It’s a business that partners with other businesses to provide human resources outsourcing services. At Nextep, we offer a complete suite of services from HR and payroll to health care, benefits, risk and compliance.

  • Why do I need a PEO?

    There are numerous ways PEOs can benefit even the smallest of companies. For starters, you didn’t go into business to do HR tasks. And as your company grows, the time spent consumed by each of those tasks multiplies rapidly. With Nextep, you can get you back to the business at hand.

  • How much does it cost to use Nextep?

    Costs can vary based on the size of your company and the based on several variables (company size, benefits selected, etc.), but Nextep charges per employee per year. Give us a call so we can learn more about your company and provide you with a more accurate estimate.

  • I already have a PEO. Why should I switch to Nextep?

    Nextep provides powerful solutions and exceptional service.   • My Account

    How do I create an account and log in?

    When creating your account, you’ll receive an email with a link and password for easy log in. But be sure not to share or forward this email — it’s individual to you.

    What if I never got the email?

    • Then, check your email’s spam folder to make sure it’s not caught there.
    • And if you still don’t have the email and your company has transitioned to the integrated platform, simply visit clients.nextep.com. When there, use your email address as the username and click “forgot password.”

    How do I use My Info?

    As one of the most helpful apps in your Nextep account, My Info lets you access to download pay stubs, plus reprint your W-2, view benefit deductions and much more. Watch this quick introduction.

  • Benefit Enrollment

    When is the enrollment period for benefits?

    Employees may enroll for benefits during their initial eligibility periods — usually 30 or 60 days — after being hired by the company.

    Nextep also has open enrollment periods during the year. During those times, employees may enroll, terminate or make changes to selected plans online.

    There are generally two open enrollment periods: mid-year and end of the year. Mid-year open enrollment gives an opportunity to enroll, make changes or terminate medical, dental, vision and other supplemental benefits. At the end of the year, you have an opportunity to enroll in the flexible spending account.

  • Tax Resources

    When will I get my W-2?

    Observing IRS law, all W-2s are distributed no later than January 31 of the following year.

    What might delay delivery of my W-2?

    An option for quick access to your W-2 is electronic delivery, so sign up before January 10 at w2copy.com using company code iw2345. As soon as it is available, you’ll receive an email link to your secured online W-2 to download and print.

    If you don’t want electronic delivery, check your address on file with Nextep. If it is incorrect, it will delay delivery of your W-2.

    How can I reprint my W-2?

    You can download, save and reprint additional copies of your W-2 by logging in at clients.nextep.com. Your W-2 for this year will be available after January 31 of the following year.

    How do I change my tax withholding?

    To adjust your federal and state tax withholding, please complete a new W-4 form online using the My Info app. If you need assistance determining your tax withholding status, use the handy online IRS Calculator.

    What if I’m exempt?

    Employees who are eligible for exempt filing status must complete a new W-4 and submit it to Nextep’s Payroll Department by February 15.

  • Mobile App

    How can I get the Nextep mobile app?

    The Nextep mobile app is available free from Google Play and the Apple Store. You can also install the app directly from your mobile device by searching for "Nextep." Click here to learn more about the app's features.

    I can't get the app to work, what do I do?

    To keep sensitive information secure, the app is password-protected. At this time, only Nextep clients and their employees will have access to log in to the app. No need to create a new account or ID; simply log in with your existing Nextep credentials.

    I'm having trouble logging in.

    If you've forgotten your password, simply click the “forgot your password” link on the login screen of your app and follow the on-screen instructions. For more help logging into your account, visit our online help.
